Formed over ten years ago by Cambridge-based saxophonist Julian Landymore, Superstition have now established themselves as one of the UK’s top function bands.
The eight-piece band features some of the finest musicians from London and Cambridge, some of whom work regularly on London's West End shows.
They have performed at weddings, parties and corporate events. Venues include Swynford Paddocks Hotel Newmarket, Knebwoth House Hertfordshire and Horse Guards Parade London.
Their repertoire covers over six decades with a whole host of carefully chosen classic hits including songs by Rose Royce, The Trammps, James Brown, The Four Seasons, Wilson Pickett, Barry White and The Beatles, not forgetting ‘New York New York’ to finish the evening. There really is something for everyone!
Along with their charismatic and powerful vocalist, this energetic line up interacts with the audience to create a real party atmosphere and for those wishing to partake in the ancient art of smooching, the band will also perform a light scattering of ballads!
Superstition pride themselves on a smart professional image.
With weddings in particular, have you considered reception music? Superstition can provide a jazz trio who can arrive earlier in the day to play music while your guests arrive and during the meal. You may just prefer a pianist? Look no further — our keyboard player can provide the perfect ambience.
